The 2018/2019 session for first semester has been scheduled to commence on Monday, 17th September, 2018.

Imo State University, Essential Note for new students
- First, new students are to complete their registration before the Matriculation Day.
- Secondly, matriculating students are to collect academic gowns from their respective Faculty Officers.
- Again, its mandatory for all fresh students to attend the ceremony and properly dressed
- In addition, the gown should be returned to the point of collection on or before approved date. Late submission attracts penalty.
- Lastly, failure to return the gown attracts payment of the full cost for the Academic Gown.
