- On your iPhone home screen, tap the MUSIC ICON.
- From the library screen, select DOWNLOADED MUSIC.
- On the Downloaded Music screen tap songs. You will see a display of list of songs on the iPhone, listed alphabetically by artist.
- Select the song you want to delete from your iPhone.
When that is done, the song begins to play. A control bar for that song opens at the bottom of the screen. Tap the STOP ICON to stop the music.
- In the control bar at the bottom of the screen to open an INFORMATION WINDOW, touch the title of the song.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the three-dot MORE ICON.
- In the menu that pops up, select REMOVE.
- Choose whether you want to remove the song only from the iPhone by clicking on REMOVE DOWNLOAD. If you want to delete the song from your music library, select DELETE FROM LIBRARY.
Deleting songs directly on the iPhone is a one at a time process. There is no way you can select several songs at once and delete them.
The songs you delete are still in your iTunes library if you ever need them back you can recover them.
